1999 - REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA
"NATIONAL GOLD MEDAL AWARD"
Presented to the Chookasian Armenian Ensemble by President Robert Kocharian and the Government of Armenia. To acknowledge the Ensemble's month-long concert tour of Armenia and Karabagh. Also, the award was given in recognition of the Chookasians' life long dedication to the preservation both Eastern and Western Armenian music and culture.
